Autumn is in the air!!

Well, I am so excited for Autumn. Hands down my favorite time of year!! There is something about the colors, it just makes me feel more alive! Autumn is my time to renew. A sort of awakening of the senses for me. I just LOVE it.
Not to mention all the holidays it brings with it! Yum.

October 31st is my baby's birthday. She is going to be TWO! Oy! I can't believe it!Yes, she was born on Halloween. And she may look the part of the innocent toddler, but I assure you, she is anything but! That girl has some spunk! And while at times her complete and utter independence can be frustrating, It can also be refreshing..
But I digress!

After Halloween/Lorynn's Birthday. November begins the month long slew of birthday events! It's a birthday extravaganza!! My sis Lori's Birthday is on November 5th.
Then we have a small breather.. Then my hubby, Paul's, B-day is on the 18th, Brenna's B-day is the 19th, Lori's Daughter, Maya's b-day is on the 20th and mine is on the 21st! Whew! I get tired just thinking about it!! : )

Yes My household is comprised entirely of Scorpios. May the heaven's help the daily drama that ensues! We are all spit-fires! : ) It Can lead to some interesting conversations, that's for sure!!

But again, I digress..

This year I am turning 30. It really hasn't started to hurt yet. Although I am told it is all downhill from here : )

But Honestly, I am very content with where I am at in my life. I am very blessed. And it hasn't all been ice cream and roses. Don't get me wrong. I've had my fair share of trials. But I really feel like I am coming out on top. I've worked my way through whatever karma I've been faced with. And I have been made better for it.
Yes, I still wish I could lose my maturating spare tire (oh what the pictures don't tell you!) But really, if pressed. There isn't anywhere else I'd rather be.

So, with that said! : ) Here is a happy little Autumn Card. May it brighten your day!

Time Flies!!

I am trying to find a certain balance between my hectic life and blogging, And I fear that I am failing miserably! SO; Here is goes again!

UPDATES!!

I am VERY PROUD to say that ScrapArtist was able to Raise over $1,400 for the Red cross in just THREE DAYS!! WOW! I was so amazed and gratified by the response we received. SO THANK YOU!!
I am constantly touched by the generosity of others.

I have also had the pleasure of working with
Carrie Stephens
to create This Gorgeous Kit where we will be donating the entire proceeds to the Red Cross!

Come Together : For The Victims of Katrina. Is available now at FishScraps, and ScrapArtist !

And on another totally separate note!

My daughter, Brenna, has started Kindergarten! I am so proud of her, she is such an amazing little girl. She was ready for Kindergarten last year, but her Birthday is November so she missed the deadline, and Utah has a law stating that children MUST be five when they start school. SO now that she can already READ! She FINALLY gets to go to school! YEAH! She has been in preschool since she was two. SO, I'd say she's ready!!: )

As much as I am ready (And needing!) her to start school, it was so emotional for me! The parents stayed the entire first day, and it took everything I had to not burst into tears!

I made sure to journal my feelings about it, and ACTUALLY made this two page layout!

What The Hell ??!!

I simply do not understand how this can be happening in America. I was on Cnn's website this morning and watched this clip from the mayor of New Orleans. It just makes me so angry! I don't understand why these people aren't being saved. Why more isn't being done, and why it is taking SO LONG! It's unexceptable!

Why has it gone so long? What is ACTUALLY being done? It seems like the stories get worse and worse every day that passes. My heart goes out to the thousands that are suffering. And there are STILL people on roof tops!! Waiting. Waiting for help, waiting for food, waiting to be saved. Just Waiting.

I just do not understand it.

I know that there are many people who want to help. Who are trying to help.
At ScrapArtist we are holding a fund raiser for the Red Cross. Right now through Sunday, everything in our store is 50% off and the entire proceeds of the sale will be donated. We are trying to raise as much as we can, and every little bit helps.
