Happiness Is Bliss

I took this photo tonight of my daughter and hubby playing together. He had her up on his shoulders and was swinging her around and right as he was walking in front of the light; I snap the photo. The way I caught the rays of light falling on the two of them shows them both in a state of pure bliss. (which they were) but the photo makes me laugh in a way, It's like I am left waiting for the choirs of angels to start singing.. The photo is completely grainy, I was shooting at a high ISO and I wasn't using a flash. But I like the shot, just the same.. I like the moment it was able to capture; Kind of gives me warm fuzzies..

Adventurous Spirit

I just had to stop and scrap these photos of my youngest. She is such a cutie! (Yes, the biased opinion of a mother..) She is growing up so fast! And trying so hard to communicate. She turned two on Halloween. She is doing pretty well with speaking, stringing words and short sentences together. She really is such a joy to our family. Her little grin just makes me smile..

I used my newest paperpack to scrap this, actually, made the paper pack just for Lorynn. In really bright and happy colors. Kind of nice to see some bright color in the middle of a very dull and boring winter..

Christmas Blues Funk..

Boy am I ever in a funk today. I have the post Christmas blues, for sure.. It's just when you take months preparing for this 'special day', and then when it finally arrives, you just want time to slow down a bit so that you can actually enjoy it longer.
And now today, two days after Christmas and all the holiday bustle; It is really hitting me! Although this photo of Lorynn playing her new drum set really makes me smile. She is so cute with it! And not half bad for a two year old! (Yes, I bought my two year old a drum set..) Actually, it was my husband's idea.. I think it was one of those gifts that he always wanted as a child and never got, so he is living vicariously through our children : )
But I digress..
I have somewhat reclaimed my house from the frenzy of Christmas toys and goodies. But I am just feeling kind of down in the dumps.. Does this happen to anyone else?
Maybe I need to go partake in some good After Christmas Shopping..

Templates ROCK!!

So my latest project has been making these scrapping templates. Now, normally I would not condone the using of templates ;) to make pages..(hee hee) But these just make scrapping so EASY!! I made a layout for my Father-in-Law to cover the front of a Journal I made him for his Birthday, and a layout of my DD in her halloween costume
and honestly, I completed both layouts in just under 30 minutes.. You've GOT to LOVE that!! And I think they look distinct enough that if they were in the same album, you probably wouldn't think twice about them..
