What Inspires You??
What is that one purchase that you have a hard time saying no to? For some people its shoes; others it might be bags and purses; but for me; It is definitely blankets and decorative pillows.. I just can't pass them up!
I received this little nugget in my inbox yesterday, (Yes, you got me; I am also addicted to Pottery Barn!) I adore these new blankets, the colors are so clean and just yummy! They are just inspiring to me, and I am thinking, Paperset! The colors and patterns would make such wonderful paper! In fact I was kicking some ideas around last night; Although I am not finished yet, I just loved the little kick start these blanket gave me; and I am wondering what inspires you?
My good friend, Jen, also posted this question on her blog.. For me; I am definitely a visual person, although I haven't always been. So I am inspired by colors and patterns and textures; Images. When I am stumped for paper or layout ideas I usually check out my favorite stores online; like Anthropologie; Potterybarn or Pier 1. There is ALWAYS something there to peak my interest and I haven't been disappointed yet. So, What inspires you?

Over 400 entrees later!!
Yes, That is correct. No, It wasn't a typo. Over 400 Entrees later; we have a name for our kit!! I say 'our' kit because after reading everyone's Fantastic! submissions, I really feel that this kit isn't just my creation anymore. Everyone blew me away with their creativity! It was so AWESOME! Thank you to everyone who participated! Yes, you can see the comments and names that many people left; but I also received tons of email and private messages; and well, honestly; I was very touched by all the response that one little kit could receive.
So to thank everyone who participated; I've got a few little tricks up my sleeve; But first!!
Drum Roll Please! : )
Congratulations to Kristie Fulton who submitted the name:
Emma's Sundress
You guys made it really difficult to choose because there were so many wonderful submissions! But I liked the imagery that Krisite's Name conjured up for me. It reminded me of my childhood and the light cotton sundresses I used to wear. Kristie's name also fit with the elements I created; Lots of stitching and flowers.. So it just seemed to fit!
Kristie has been awarded a $10 Gift Certificate to the ScrapArist Shoppe and this kit of course! But Because of the response that this little naming contest got; I couldn't just pick one winner! :)
So I have a few runners-up! Each of these people will also receive Emma's Sundress!
And those names are:

Name This Kit and Win!!
Ok. If you do not already know this about me, I absolutely HATE naming my kits and papers.. I always stress over the names way too long.. I am not entirely sure why, it is not a completely difficult thing to do.. But I hate categorizing things. And I try not to create stereotypical papers, so then I try to think of unique (but not to crazy!) names to go along with them.. And well, sometimes, I just can't!
So with that said.. I need some help! Please? Help me name this new kit! The most original and fitting name wins the kit and a $10 Gift Certificate to the ScrapArtist Shoppe.. I will keep this contest open for the next couple of days; Lets end it Friday Night at 8PM MST.
This is just the paper for the kit; still working on the elements :) I've got some fun florals, some stripes and polka dots in yummy shades of teal, orange and coral.
I made this layout last night with it too, trying to spark some creativity! :)
My youngest daughter giving me one of her famous pouty looks..
So good luck!! Hoping to get lost of entrees! Just post your proposed name in the comment field and be sure that your email addy is in your blogger profile so I can contact you if you win! TIA! :)
